In this University, it would be hard not to realize it’s Valentine’s Day. Flower vendors line both sides on the University entrance. You’ve got no excuse (if you plan on doing the what-valentine’s day?-bitter-single-bitch act).

February 14 marks two global celebrations – the more widely recognized Valentine’s Day (V Day) and the Singles’ Awareness Day (SAD).

One would find it a challenge to hold classes or discussions, especially with college students. Distracted students, that’s what you’d be handling. The only thing that would appease them is the information that they’d be dismissed early if they accomplish the exercise for the day. Talk about motivation. We finished the session earlier than I expected, most students leaving the room anticipating and excited.

Had dinner with my sister. She and her husband have celebrated VDay earlier since he’s in another region right now. My sister may have wanted someone to celebrate the evening with or she’s just worried about me spending SAD alone.
