day bits

On a caffeine high. No other twelve pages has ever made me this happy. I know, I’d think of it as garbage someday but for the time being, it serves it’s purpose. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I don’t know how everything would fit but we’ll find a way.

“It’s called aging,” answered a brod during a student organization gathering. I was asking (weel, more like complaining) how it’s possible to feel this tired when I only had one class for the day. Well, there were long meetings,  and increased stress levels (which is basically part of a normal day at work), and some unexpected tasks to be accomplished, and… Aging huh? Perhaps it’s true. I knew senior moments like this would come, but not this soon!

Lately, the pressures of single blessedness and graduate studies have been the subject of office chat. Put three single women in one room for an office and it’s bound to happen. It was the subject of discussion when one of our senior faculty members entered the room. She shared that she married after earning her PhD. She was already ready for the single life when she reconnected with a high school acquaintance. Decades later, they’re still happily married.

Still…. Darn that first line on my essay application.

I could not find anything to connect these notes – well, aside from taking place in the same day.
