30-day challenge 1: fast food chain products

food that can be prepared quickly and easily and is sold in restaurants and snack bars as a quick meal or to be taken out

Identifying what’s fast food and what’s not would be the greatest challenge for this challenge. For the next 30 days, I’ll be freeing myself from meals:

  1. available at Mc Donalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jollibee, Greenwich, and other fast food chains;
  2. like Mini Stop and 7 Eleven’s hotdogs and steamed pork/tuna/beef chicken buns (siopao) (That also includes Big Mak, Burger Machine, and Franks N’ Burher products); and
  3. prepared in restaurants in less than ten minutes (this excludes slow serving supposedly fast food restaurants).  This one’s quite problematic.
So for the next 30 days, I guess I’ll be frequenting carinderias along Grove and Umali area and put the electronic stove to greater use (and perhaps, pay my mother’s kitchen a visit for some home cooked meals 😀  )
No ready made patties or precut fries. No more chicken meals and side salads from KFC. I’ll consider it a great achievement if I can keep myself from KFC Krushers and Jollibee chicken joy. The challenge starts tomorrow. Scared.

There’s a few changes for the challenge. The challenge would be to not buy and/or eat products from fast food chains (plus the hotdogs, microwavable meals, and meat buns from convenient stores.)
