And it’s back to work.
It’s never easy to get your work momentum back even after just three days of vacation. This day is packed. We were part of the organizers of the day’s activities spanning half a day.
I missed something important. I didn’t bother to dwell on that. I’m keeping away from negativities because I don’t want to ruin the great weekend I just had. That trip would be enough to keep me happy until the end of the year. Being out of town was enough. Everything else was bonus.
Somehow, keeping the positivity paid off. My students won the inter-laboratory section grammar smackdown. It was never expected. But I am thankful that they won. They deserved it. Now I keep a token of their victory in my corner at the office.
I’m tired. I’m happy.
I’ll sleep with a grin. A smile’s not enough. I’ll deal with the next set of deliverables tomorrow.
