first day of (real) work

I handled my first class for the year enduring the scent of fresh paint and the constant hammering in the background. We were delighted to be welcomed by newly repaired tables and chairs. The students are still adjusting back to the normal academic mode. Even I.

The deadlines will help with that adjustment. Better start making use of that planner.

Had dinner with the eldest sister. It was a good decision.

We talked for more than three hours catching up and reminiscing about the family. Funny how people still need catching up when they live in the same town and work in the same campus. It was a heartwarming talk. It covered a lot. I’ll be looking forward to such talks.
