in small doses

Family day. Well, at least the latter half of it. (What remained after deducting sleep.)

There are things one learns to appreciate – as long as the exposure is limited to a certain frequency. This ideal frequency of exposure is determined after years of trial and error.

Initially, one would want to be constantly be exposed  or be near that source of delight – so we try only to find out that it’s far from ideal. One needs to distance oneself to better appreciate those moments when one does get to be near.
